Often when I am in a game I'll doodle out pages of faced that fit the theme of the game and pass them to the GM as a way to put a face to a name, as it' s easier for me to remember them and keep the characters straight. In this game, the theme is a Near Future Campaign with a Summer Action Movie theme, So I doodled up characters I thought might fit the theme, and did a number of sheet during a slow period at work. This is the first of a couple/three/many. The thinking behind these is that yeah they are anthropomorphic, but they still have to function as plausible characters in a movie where the only humor is a clever one liner delivered before the character shoots their target in the face.

When not wearing his armour, or outside, Magnuswears a sinple tunic and trews, puttees, his command sash, , metal belt, and dagger. The cloth is an open weave butbrightly colored. this is my first attempt using, "Easy Paint Tool SAI". If anyone has any tips, tricks or links for video tutorials please pass then along, This will eventually be colored. Comparing this to inking in Flash, this has more versatility and depth, but Flash is faster, and resolution independent. Inking in Sai, seemed to take as long as it took as it would using steel pens and Higgins Black ink. The original pencils can be seen in my sketch Gallery Uploaded on thsi same date. This was a commission from a co-worker who wanted a Bandolero, a member of Zapata's revolutionaries from he turn of the century, defiant to the last at a firing squad, but with a skull for a head. I don't understand the symbology but I did as requested, and I thought it worked out. This was intended as a tatoo. I expect I will do a revision. No problem though, glad for the business.
